  1. Right click on your image and select Properties
  2. The file format will be next to Type of file:
  3. Click on the Details tab.
  4. Under Dimensions, it will say the dimensions of your image.

If your media is a 1920x1080 or 1080x1920 .JPG, .PNG (without transparency) or .MP4, you’re good to go!

An easy way to tell if a .PNG has transparency or not is to hover your cursor over it in the File Explorer. If you see the background change behind your image, it has transparency.

Example of image WITH transparency (transparent background):

Example if image WITHOUT transparency (solid background):

If your file is a .PPT (PowerPoint) file, you will need to export it as an .MP4 video from PowerPoint.

If you have multiples images you are wanting to display, an easy way to put them all together in one file is to put them in a PowerPoint and export it as an .MP4.

Tutorial.

If your file is a .PDF, first see if the image can be exported as a .JPG or .PNG from the original image creation or editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or Canva.
If this is not possible, PDFs can be converted with free online PDF to image converters, like these from Adobe or Canva.
If your PDF is multiple pages, and is therefore exported as multiple images, these will need to be edited together into one .MP4 file. This can be done with a video editor, or by putting the images in a PowerPoint and exporting as an .MP4.

If your file is the correct dimensions, but is NOT a .JPG or .PNG, first see if the image can be exported as a .JPG or .PNG from the original image creation or editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or Canva. If this is not possible, you will need to reformat it.

If your file is larger than 1920x1080 or 1080x1920, but has a different aspect ratio, you will need to crop it.
Images larger than 1920x1080 or 1080x1920 that are in a 16:9 or 9:16 aspect ratio are okay. You can find the aspect ratio of an image by putting its width and height dimensions in this calculator, or by editing the image in the Photos program.

If your file is smaller than 1920x1080 or 1080x1920, it is highly recommended that you obtain a larger version from your image source. This may mean that a higher resolution image from the original image creation or editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or others needs to be exported.

Another option for a small image, or a PNG image with transparency, may be pasting your image onto a properly sized solid background. This can be done in the Paint program.
