First, see if your image can be exported as a .JPG or a .PNG without transparency from its original image creation or editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or Canva. If this is not possible, proceed with these steps. 

If your image is a format that is not a .JPG or a .PNG without transparency, such as a .BMP or a .TIFF, you will need to convert it. Not all file formats may be able to be converted in this way. 

PDFs can be converted with free online PDF to image converters, like these from Adobe or Canva. 
If your PDF is multiple pages, and is therefore exported as multiple images, these will need to be edited together into one .MP4 file. This can be done with a video editor, or by putting the images in a PowerPoint and exporting as an .MP4.

  1. Double click on your image. This should open your image in the Photos program. 

    If it opens in a different program, right click on your image and select Open with, then Photos.
  2. Then, right click on the image and click on Resize image. 
  3. From this window, click on the dropdown menu under File type and select your new file type. This can be PNG or JPG
  4. Then, click Save at the bottom left corner of the window.
  5. Rename your file as desired, make sure that the format is .png or .jpg (next to Save as type:) then click Save.
