Microsoft 365 Accounts

Your Microsoft 365 (a.k.a. Office 365) account allows you to access licensed Microsoft applications on the web and on computers using your Seattle Aquarium email address and computer login password.

You can find all Microsoft products available to you at: https://www.office.com/apps.

Protecting your Microsoft 365 Account with Multifactor Authentication

As we rely more and more on web-based services and applications, the data and resources we store online becomes a more appealing target for malicious hackers and scammers.

Multifactor authentication (MFA) provides our accounts with another layer of security. Instead of just a username and a password, MFA will require the user to also provide an additional randomly generated one-time passcode, or an authorization through an application on a device that the user physically possesses. An example of this is a text message with numbers to enter to complete sign-in.

MFA Method

We currently support the Microsoft Authenticator app for multifactor authentication

Multifactor authentication is as secure as the device, and all users are susceptible to social engineering hacking attempts. Never share your password or one-time login passwords with anyone. Never authorize any unrecognized login attempts. If you are unsure about a login attempt, contact IT.
