The Fish Speak exhibit is located on the 2nd floor of the Ocean Pavilion, underneath the wooden paddles display.

The audio source is a AU335 audio BrightSign (IP:10.61.155.119)  mounted to the ceiling on the 1st floor below the exhibit.

You will need:

  1. Using the squarehead screwdriver, unscrew the top and bottom screws of the wall panel to the right side of the signage (red circles in photo).
  2. Using the ratchet, unscrew the signage arm on the right side of the signage. (blue circle in photo).
  3. Move the panel and signage out away from the wall to reveal the cable for the headset. The cable may be tucked into the rectangular port hole and need to be pulled out.
  4. Unplug the 1/8" cable from the headset to the cable in the wall. You may need to unwrap the electrical tape protecting the connection. Plug the new headset in to check that the rest of the system is still working and that you can hear audio. If you can hear audio, unplug the new headset and proceed.
  5. Unscrew the cable holder and remove the old headset and cable.
  6. Put the cable for the new headset through the hole, and screw in the holder.
  7. Plug the cable into the 1/8" jack end of the cable coming from the wall. Wrap electrical tape around the connection to protect it. Tuck the cable into the rectangular hole in the wall.
  8. Put the signage arm and panel back in their place, and screw them in accordingly.
