Overview

This document outlines the process of signing in to the Seattle Aquarium VPN (virtual private network) using the FortiClient desktop application.

Prerequisites

  • A Seattle Aquarium issued computer with internet access and the FortiClient desktop application installed.
  • A valid Seattle Aquarium user account.
  • MS Authenticator MFA setup

Signing In to the FortiClient Application

  1. Open the FortiClient desktop application.
  2. If prompted, check the box acknowledging that the installed version of FortiClient VPN does not come with product support. Then, click I accept.
  3. On the following page, verify that SAML - vpn.seattleaquarium.org is selected in the VPN Name dropdown menu. Then, click SAML Login.
     
  4. When prompted, sign in using your Seattle Aquarium email address and password (you will have 120 seconds to complete this process). You will then need to verify your identity using Multifactor Authentication.
  5. Upon successful sign in, you will be connected to the Seattle Aquarium VPN and will have access to Seattle Aquarium network resources.
