Controls:

All controls are located on the top of the speaker unit. There are many controls on top, but for our use we only need to focus on five of the controls. Of these five, all controls except the Mic volume should be set the same for every use and shouldn’t be adjusted.

Main Volume (1)- The universal volume knob that will raise and lower any sound coming out of the speaker. This volume will work in tandem with the mic volume knob. It is recommended to always keep the main volume level set on 0 (3 o’clock) and do all volume control from the mic volume knob.

Mic Volume (9)- volume control for the headset or wireless handheld mic. Can be adjusted as need to raise and lower mic volume. Best practice is to start with knob turned to 12 o’clock and make slight adjusted from there.

Treble & Bass (2 & 3)- Controls for the speakers treble and bass response. These should both always be set on 0 DB (12 o’clock).

Reverb (11)- Reverb control for the speaker. Should be set to 0 (turned all the way to the left).

Music:

  • A phone or other device for playing music can be plugged into the 1/8" AUX IN (8) and controlled with the Volume knob (7) above.
  • An XLR output can also be plugged in (for example from a DJ controller) to the XLR Input (6). The signal will be a Line level signal, so make sure the button (5) is not pressed. Adjust the volume with the Volume knob (4).

 Charging:

Note: The belt pack is powered by two AA batteries.

Quick Start:

  1. Set up speaker in desired location. Speaker should be set in a location that is not where you would like to stand to talk.
  2. Turn on speaker unit.
  3. Check that all five control dials are in the correct position. With the Mic Volume set to 12 o’clock.
  4. Move to your speaking location. Turn on the belt pack unit and begin speaking. If feedback occurs, immediately mute the belt pack, and turn the Mic Volume to a lower setting (to the left)
  5. If volume is not loud enough, mute the belt pack and turn the Mic volume up (to the right) a small amount. Move back to speaking location and test again.

Note: you should never turn on or unmute the mic while standing directly in front of the speaker. This will cause feedback.
